Fairy Drops Platinum Mascara

Before, I used to put on mascara every single day. But then, I noticed that my lashes were becoming kind of weak and brittle so I decided to stop using mascara. This seems kind of ironic since  putting on mascara helps make your lashes look longer or thicker (depends on what type of mascara you use), but I was worried that my lashes might have become weaker because of how I remove the mascara.

As we all know, most mascara products are hard to remove... Sometimes, even if you have applied a lot of makeup remover already, it still does not budge, which leads to furious rubbing. This can't be good for your lashes and the area around your eyes, which is really sensitive.

But, there was still hope for me!

After several months of NOT using mascara, I came across this Japanese product that a lot of bloggers were raving about including Tricia Gosingtian and Ms. Liz Lanuzo who made a blog entry on this product right *here.* I wanted to try it out for myself to see if it is really something to rave about so I bought one at Beauty Bar. It is kind of expensive at P 1,195.00. But, I think, there are online sellers that sell it for P800.00.

So what do credible bloggers like about it?  They say that:
  1. It gives you longer lashes that are natural- looking, which is perfect for daily make- up;
  2. It is water- resistant, smudge and smear- proof;
  3. It curls your lashes without needing an eyelash curler and
  4. It is fairly easy to remove-- water alone would suffice!
Let's see if all these claims are true so scroll down below for my review!

This is the cute glitzy and cute packaging of the Fairy Drops Platinum Mascara (Film Type).

One thing that bloggers love about this product is that it is able to effectively curl your lashes without the aid of an eyelash curler as you can see in the illustration below.

If you think that the packaging is cute, well, wait till you see the tube of the mascara! It's so shiny, pretty and girly! It is silver with pink drawings/ illustrations. If you went to a store and didn't know about this product yet, chances are that you'd be drawn towards it and be tempted to purchase it because of its glamorous look!

This is the mascara wand, which is kind of bent in the middle, which gives it a slight arch. This is probably what makes your eyelashes curl.

This is a picture of my eye prior to applying the mascara. As you can see, I wasn't lying about my sparse and weak- looking eyelashes.

After putting on several coats of the Fairy Drops mascara, this is how my lashes look already. It is more noticeable since it became longer and thicker.

I did not use any eyelash curler (since I don't really own a decent one), but you can see that it curled upwards a little bit.I guess this would look even better with the aid of a good eyelash curler.

Sorry for the following vain photos, but I just wanted to show you that long lashes really makes a person's eye look wider and brighter.

So yeah, I guess I found the perfect mascara for me! Since I have almost non- existent eyelashes, this product helped make it more noticeable without clumping, not one bit! I also love the fact that it helps curl your lashes without using an eyelash curler since before, I've had bad experiences with some curlers and now, I don't even have to use one! But, what's best for me is that I don't need any special makeup remover (like the Majolica Majorca's Eye Reset Gel) since it IS easily removed with water alone.

This picture looks yucky, but this is the Fairy Drops Mascara product once it is removed with water. It really does not smear! "Smear" is when your mascara becomes runny and you are left with black tear-like trails on your face... But, once you use water on this product, it becomes solid like this so you don't have to rub your face anymore to remove the unattractive smear.

 My Verdict? I LOVE THIS MASCARA! I just wish that it is more affordable!
